On My Way Preschool Cedar City, UT.

We had a super fun Halloween Party today with all of our classes! I couldn’t pull this off without all my preschool parents so thank you to all of you who helped today! You’re the best! Happy Halloween everyone!

We were lucky to have some of Cedar City’s finest come and teach us about fire safety this week! Thank you to Wyatt, Greg, and Cason for letting us try on your gear and teaching us how to be safe in our homes and outside! We also loved getting to see one of the fire trucks and all of their equipment inside!

Hey preschool families! I’m looking for some input! IF Iron County were to go to a 4 day school week would you want your preschool to be off Fridays as well? I’m trying to consider what that looks like since it’s a possibility in the near future. Even if you aren’t in preschool classes right now I would love your input.

Would I need to change my Monday Wednesday Friday classes to just Monday Wednesday but for 3 hours each class instead of 2? Would you go to a preschool that had classes from 9-13 or 1-4 on Monday and Wednesday?

What are your thoughts? Current famiiies, previous famiiies and future famiiies! Thanks!

Our 4 year old classes had thier field trip cancelled because of rain, but we were able to reschedule a trip for all of them during our fall break! We had a gorgeous sunny day to enjoy the pumpkin patch with our famiiies!

The 3 year old class had a perfect day at the pumpkin patch! Beautiful weather! Fun animals! Slides! A maze! Games! And picking out our own pumpkin!

Last week we spent a lot of time talking about germs and how they spread! We know we should cough and sneeze into our elbows and wash our hands before we eat and after we go potty!
We also talked about feelings! Everyone has lots of different feelings every day! We learned that it’s better to talk with someone if we are having feelings of worry, sadness, anger,or anxiety. It’s our goal to feel joy and happiness and love! We read The Boy with Big Big Feelings and Ruby Finds a Worry. Both great books about feelings!
We also worked on some fine motor skills with magnet discs and a magnet paddle, while also working on letter A!
Last but not least we used some creativity and made a red circle into a monster!

On my way preschool has an opening in the 3 year old class! They meet Tuesday and thursday from 10-12. Tuition $100 a month message me with questions!

We had another fabulous week! We are getting used to a routine and making friends! This week we read several books about manners and practiced using good manners. We also used Playdoh to create letter A and also some other cool creations! We learned how recipes and rules are a lot alike! If you follow a cookie recipe you get good cookies but if you just throw ingredients in a bowl you will get yucky cookies! If you follow school rules you have a good day, if you dont you have a yucky day. Then we ate cookies! We read a book called “I’m not just a scribble”. It teaches us that we can be friends with everyone, even if they don’t look like us or like the same things! We made our own scribbles and everyone’s looked different and amazing!

Our first week back to school was full of exciting things! Making new friends! Trying new things! We’ve had a lot of fun! We read a book called “peanut butter and Cupcake”. We learned that making friends can be hard, but when we are kind others want to be kind too! We made a cool art project to help us remember our story. No pictures of that though 🤦‍♀️.
We also painted a letter A with apples and learned some new songs to help us with letter A! We listened to a cool story about a little red house with no windows and no doors a chimney on top and a star inside and found out it was an Apple! We had some delicious, sweet and crunchy apples for snack!
We talked about the primary colors and how they can help us make new colors! We used our paddles to make new colors and the 4 year old class got to use their fingers to create new paint colors! It was a great first week!

All welcome letters were mailed out to today! Keep an eye out for them! If you don’t get yours this week let me know!
