While most are enjoying the summer time off, we are gearing up for back to school. Those preparations include a shopping trip for 45 students in need, so they also can return to school with something new. Most are funded by grants and money raised through the Iron County School District Foundation, but we could use the help of the community to ensure this program continues.
If you would like to sponsor a child, donations can be made at https://sfnd.io/backtoschool. We spend about $150 on each child, plus send them home with a backpack filled with school supplies. You can also volunteer to pair up with a child for the shopping experience. Sign up at https://bit.ly/Spreevolunteer

Recently, 32 teams of four joined the Iron County School District Foundation at the Cedar Ridge Golf Course for a morning tournament. The generous Title Sponsorship of Hughes General Contractors and Legacy Sponsorship of Cedar Band Corp helped make this a successful fundraiser. The money raised pays for teacher grants. In the fall, the Foundation Board will choose 25-35 projects to fund. Thank you to all who made this a successful day!
