Please join us on February 25 at 11:00 a.m. for another installment of New York Public Library for the Performing Arts’ “The Dance Historian Is In” in the Sharwan Smith Student Center Theater! This lecture series is FREE and open to all.

In this session, Adrienne Gibbons Oehlers will review some of the highlights and trademarks of The Radio City Rockettes, tracing their traditions and evolutions over the past century through photos and videos from the Jerome Robbin’s Dance Division.

Then on March 25, Lynn Matluck Brooks and Sariel Golomb will speak about the centuries-long dialogue between dance and science, which spans anthropology, astronomy, cosmology, education, medicine, physical culture, psychology, non-digital technologies, and more. These insights are covered in Brooks’ and Golomb’s recent volume “Dance and Science in the Long Nineteenth Century.”
