STAFF HIGHLIGHT | PIPER MANESSE

This week, we’re highlighting Piper Manesse, our Native American Para at Canyon View High School!

Piper has been part of the CVHS family for 3 years, and when asked about her favorite part of Canyon View, her answer was simple: “That’s easy… the students!”

We also love the wisdom behind her life quote:
“Who says?” Be discerning about what you hear.

Thank you, Piper, for the care, support, and encouragement you bring to our students each day. We’re grateful to have you as part of the Falcon family!
One school. One family. One Falcon Nation.

5 QUESTIONS WITH JAYSON TWITCHELL

This week, we’re getting to know Mr. Jayson Twitchell, our CVHS Weights teacher!

From helping students push their limits to building a PROUD FALCON culture, Mr. Twitchell brings plenty of energy and purpose to the weight room. But there’s more to him than teaching and coaching—he’s also a big fan of theme parks and all things Disney!

We asked him five questions to learn a little more about the person behind the classroom:

What’s your favorite thing about teaching?
Seeing students push their limits and improve physically and mentally.

What’s something students might not know about you?
He really enjoys theme parks—especially Disneyland and Disney World!

What would you tell your younger self?
Be confident in the face of failure and humble in victory.

What’s your favorite thing about being a Falcon?
Contributing to building a PROUD FALCON culture!

What’s one lesson you hope your students carry with them beyond the classroom?
Don’t fear taking the difficult road. When life becomes difficult, face it head-on and be relentless in pursuing your goals and ambitions.

We’re proud to have Mr. Twitchell as part of the Falcon Family!

A NEW QUARTER. A FRESH START. SAME FALCON PRIDE.

As we begin a new quarter at Canyon View High School, it’s a great time to remember what it means to be a Falcon.

At CVHS, we strive to live out our core values every day:

RESPECT — We treat others with kindness and respect.
INTEGRITY — We do the right thing, always.
EXCELLENCE — We strive for our personal best.
UNITY — We are better together as one Falcon family.
PRIDE — We take pride in who we are and where we’re going.

A new quarter gives us another opportunity to reset, refocus, and raise the standard.

Let’s make this quarter one that reflects who we are and what we stand for.

THLETE OF THE WEEK: CY TRUMAN!

Sophomore. Varsity starter. All-State nominee.

This week, we’re recognizing Cy Truman, #53, for an outstanding season on the Falcon offensive line!

Cy has stepped up as the starting center on the varsity team as a sophomore and has delivered solid performances week after week. He consistently takes on some of the biggest and toughest athletes on the opposing side—and continues to rise to the challenge.

His coaches say Cy has done everything they’ve asked of him, bringing consistency, effort, and a willingness to compete every week. His performance this season has even earned him consideration as an All-State nominee at center!

And the best part? He’s only getting started. 👀

We’re excited to see what’s ahead for Cy and proud to have him representing Falcon Football and Canyon View High School!

Keep working, Cy!
