We have recently discovered “Otto’s Tales” from PragerU Kids, and we love them! We love that they talk about American history, but also stories from around the world. Stories like The Lion and the Mouse from Aesop’s fables, the Maccabees, and William Tell - who is the one I want to share today because it’s one of my absolute favorites!

I love his resolve and strength when his country was being conquered by Gessler of Austria. He was instrumental in freeing Switzerland from the tyrant.

Hey Freedom Loving Friends!
Just a couple of things:

#1. We are sad to announce that we are taking a break from I Love America Story Time. We have had life take off on us and we are having a hard time finding the mental space to prepare for the monthly Story Times. We treasure the memories we have of the time that we were able to spend with you and your families as we learned things about this great country we are blessed to be part of. We will certainly post if we are able to get a month to work though!

#2. There is a group that we are also a part of that you might enjoy. It is tailored to mothers and it’s called Mom’s For America. We will be meeting monthly to discuss important topics and learn together. If you would like to get on the email list to receive the information and reminders, please message this page and we will get you on there. 

#3. We will post on this page when we find awesome books that we love, or announcements for other things like Liberty Camp, or other Liberty/Patriotic opportunities.

#4. THANK YOU to everyone who came. We love sharing our love for this country with others!

We are NOT having I Love America Story Time in December. There are already too many events happening and we thought we would not take any more of your precious family time. So look around you, find joy in your blessings, throw your arms around them and tell them you love them.

Attention Liberty Loving Friends!
I Love America Story Time for this next month is going to be May 17th. Things are getting busy the closer we get to the end of school. We will probably change the day, starting in June, to Tuesday? But here a heads up for May’s date. :)

Yesterday was a great day learning about the Mint! We pressed coins into play-doh and did rubbings. We also learned about Pete Jefferson, the Philadelphia Mint Mascot who lived at the mint for 6 years! A taxidermist mounted him in the mint and you can still see him today! Not just there but his likeness is on the back of some of our coins! See if you can find him. 😉 Here is a fun clip about how the mint works. Enjoy!
