Viola soloist for April 8. Tickets at myosu.org Hannah Bradshaw began her experience with music at the age of six when she began studying violin with Sara Penny. In the years since then, she has performed with the Suzuki strings, various community pit orchestras, the Orchestra of Southern Utah, and the BYU and SUU Symphony orchestras. She was the Cedar High School Music Sterling Scholar in 2018 and the Region 9 Sterling Scholar runner up in music. A participant in Solo and Ensemble festivals on region and state levels, she earned over 20 superior ratings. In 2016, she, along with her sister, was a featured soloist for the Orchestra of Southern Utah, playing a piece composed by her father, Dr. Keith Bradshaw, commissioned in part by the Barlow Endowment for Music Composition. She began her college education at Brigham Young University and has since relocated to Southern Utah University to finish her degree. She was the runner up for the 2020 UMEA State Solo Competition and a finalist for the 2020 Southwest Symphony Concerto Competition. She has studied violin with Sara Penny and Dr. Paul Abegg, and viola with Sara Penny, Ling Yu, Dr. Paul Abbegg, and Madison Gardner. She currently studies viola at SUU with Lindsay Szczesny.
