It was a great day last week at Water Canyon High School! The students got to participate in Reality Town- a financial simulation of experiencing parenthood. They got to learn things like buying cars and homes, paying for childcare, and even planning a family vacation! These types of events are a great way to teach kids how to experience real life challenges.

Thank you everyone for celebrating CTE month with us! I am happy to introduce the two people who are behind the Southwest Utah CTE Division!
•
Sue Winkler, CTE Coordinator(right)- “I love that CTE allows students to explore different careers so they know what occupations they do and don’t want to pursue, making their career path faster and more cost efficient.”
•
Amy Cook, Pathway Specialist(left)- “I love that CTE classes help create a mindset of college and careers starting in middle school. As students choose careers based on their interests, they feel much more fulfilled in their jobs.”
•
We can’t wait to keep sharing the amazing things CTE students accomplish and how CTE can benefit students!
