Iron County friends, neighbors, parents, & grandparents - please read 💛
In your mailboxes this week arrived two very important documents: 1) your election ballot, and 2) very helpful information regarding a critical school bond proposal.
First and foremost, exercise your right and privilege to vote and get your ballots turned in by Nov 21st.
Second, take a few minutes and understand the items on the ballots, including the school bond. Things to know:
1) this bond was unanimously agreed upon and supported by ALL seven School Board members
2) the bond is TAX NEUTRAL!!
3) each project proposed on the bond is needed AND will benefit multiple students, grades, programs, and schools throughout the entire district!
I’m strongly advocating for you to vote YES to the school bond, but whether or not you choose to vote yes or no, please do so with a solid understanding of the bond. Message me, I will gladly answer any questions or concerns you have or, may have heard.
I love this community! Help us continue to provide great facilities to educate our young people! 💛

Friends! I’m a huge advocate for technical and hands-on education and careers. One of my passions is manufacturing. If you have children who love to build and design, send them to this event. There are incredible career opportunities, apprenticeships, automation, machining, robotics, etc. If your child has a free period send them over or right after school.
Make sure to come and join us on October 6th at Southwest Technical College for the Manufacturing Day Expo. Our manufacturers will be there to show the people of Southern Utah what is made right here in their backyard. Come and grab some free lunch! We hope to see you there.

Please take time to complete this survey. Multiple entities are working together to help define solutions to keep our kids safe. I was grateful to contribute my opinion.
As a parent:
1) I’ve personally watched my own children narrowly escape getting hit by vehicles while crossing between schools, inside the crosswalks, because the visibility and multiple entry and exit points are too great.
2) I pray each day my oldest child drives responsibly AND as he drives toward the schools that he sees AND is seen by other patrons during the morning/afternoon school commute.
As a parent/driver:
1) I hope that I can carefully navigate the chaos that ensues during drop off and pick up. I know of no parents that drop their kids at CVMS and/or CVHS that hasn’t felt completely frazzled at some point during these morning and afternoon drives.
Pedestrian Safety at CV Schools
We are looking for solutions to help with pedestrian safety between CVHS and CVMS. Please understand that there are 3 entities we are working with: -The School District has jurisdiction over everything on school property. -Cedar City has jurisdiction over the street between the 2 schools. -UDOT has....

Signs are up! Thank you to my cute family for their help tonight. My oldest even said, “Well, this is actually a fun family activity!” ☺️😂 They love it when we have Forced Family Fun!
Still a few signs left for anyone who wants one.
