📢 Important Update from Cedar Peak Learners Preschool 📢

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our lease with Red Peak Gym will end on August 29th.

We want to assure all of our families that our summer preschool classes and camps will continue as scheduled with no interruption to services. In fact, this transition presents an exciting opportunity for growth! Our new location will allow us to expand our programs and continue providing the high-quality learning experiences our students and families deserve. All fall classes will be held at our new facility.

We are incredibly grateful for the support, patience, and encouragement we have received from our families and community. As we take this next step, we are actively working to create a space that will serve even more children and families in our area.

✨ As we prepare for this exciting new chapter, we welcome conversations with community members, business owners, and potential partners who are interested in supporting early childhood education and helping us expand our impact in the community. The last few weeks at Cedar Peak Learners have been full of so many special memories as we wrap up another amazing school year. 💛

We’ve celebrated our end-of-year concerts, spent Mother’s Day week making sweet surprises and gifts for our moms, and captured graduation pictures for our preschoolers getting ready to head off to kindergarten. 🎓📸

This week is our final week of preschool before we kick off Summer Preschool on May 26th! We’ll be celebrating our summer birthdays, learning all about summer and the ocean, and soaking up every last bit of fun together. 🌊☀️🐚

Summer Preschool enrollment is now OPEN and spots are filling quickly! Fall Preschool enrollment is also open, and our morning classes are filling especially fast.

This week at Cedar Peak Learners, we’ve been exploring all things WEATHER ☀️🌧️🌬️

The kids have had so much fun with hands-on learning—creating rain cloud science experiments, exploring wind and making windsocks, drawing clouds, and playing with our super fun (and messy!) cloud dough.

For our learning focus, we’ve been working on syllabication—clapping out syllables in words—and diving into our vowels (A, E, I, O, U). The kids have been sorting words onto our vowel bulletin board and doing such a great job recognizing those sounds!

We had such a fun week celebrating Easter at preschool! 🐰🌸

The kids have been busy creating the cutest bunny projects. Yesterday we made shape bunnies—painting different shapes and then transferring them onto paper to bring their bunnies to life. They turned out so creative!

Today was our spring parties and our coin & sticker Easter egg hunts! The excitement was real as the kids searched for eggs and filled their piggy banks with their treasures. It was so fun watching them light up with each find!

A quick reminder—fall morning enrollment for next year is almost FULL, and summer spots are filling up quickly too! If you’re planning to enroll your child, now is the time to sign up before spots are gone.

🌸 Spring has sprung at Cedar Peak Learners! 🌈

This week we’ve been diving into all things spring, and the kids have had an absolute blast! Smith’s Grocery kindly donated beautiful flowers, and our classes have been using them to make playdough flower creations and playdough bouquets. 🌷✨

We also made torn paper rainbows, created flower collages, and went on a super fun spring scavenger hunt. Along the way, we’ve been reviewing our capital letters—learning why we use them, how they help show importance (like in our names!), and building words with our letter tiles. Such a big week of learning and creating! 💛

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day Fun at Preschool! 🌈

We had such a magical week celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! The kids stayed busy learning and creating all things rainbows and clovers ✨

This week we:
🍀 Practiced beginning sounds by identifying and matching clovers
🔤 Matched uppercase and lowercase letters and continued learning letter names
📊 Explored early graphing skills using different objects
✋ Strengthened fine motor skills with fun St. Patrick’s Day activities

🎶 Music & Sensory Week at Cedar Peak Learners! 🎶

This week we’ve been learning all about music while having fun with sensory activities! The kids made colorful dancing ribbons, created instrument smash paintings, and crafted their own craft stick harmonicas.

We also worked on strengthening our hand muscles with a fun fine motor activity using pipettes to fill bottle caps with water—great practice for building the skills needed for writing!

Our class has been exploring how music can tell a story and discovering different ways we can make music with instruments and movement.

Last week we celebrated finishing learning all of our letters, and this week we’ve started learning about capital letters and how they connect to the lowercase letters we already know. Soon we’ll be using those skills to start building words and simple sentences as we continue developing our early reading skills.

This week at Cedar Peak Learners we had so much fun celebrating Dr. Seuss Week! 📚✨

Our classrooms were full of silly fun and creativity. The kids made Green Eggs & Ham slime, funny socks, Cat in the Hat hats, Oh, the Places You’ll Go! hot air balloons, Green Eggs & Ham pictures, and Wacky Wednesday pictures.

We also had themed dress-up days throughout the week. Funny Socks Day and Crazy Hair Day were definitely the highlights — the kids loved showing off their silly styles!

Next week we will be having Music & Sensory Week 🎶 where we’ll learn about music and how our senses help us experience the world around us, along with lots of fun sensory activities.

Love is in the air as we celebrate Valentine’s Day in preschool this week! Our learners are having so much fun with hands-on activities, including:

📚 Literacy Focus
This week’s letter friend is Willie the Weasel! We’re learning his sound and signal, finding him in words, and practicing early reading skills with wacky words—including palindromes that read the same forwards and backwards!
🎶 We’re also practicing rhyming skills and building letters with candy hearts (learning never tasted so sweet 😉).
