Reminder-- chorus sign ups are due TOMORROW, Fri., 8.21!

"Hello, Cecilia Valley Families!
Just a reminder that tomorrow, August 21st, is the final day for students to turn in their permission form for our 3rd-5th grade chorus. We will start rehearsals on Tuesday, Sept. 1st. If your student didn't take a form from me, but wanted to be a part of the chorus, please print out the form below."

Mrs. Day is excited to start the new year with some great music! If your child is interested in joining chorus, please see the linked paperwork. Mrs. Day can also provide copies if you reach out to her through the email provided.

At Cecilia Valley, we have a program called Artsonia. This is a safe online platform where Mrs. Lutz uploads photos of your child's artwork. In order to view your child's artwork, you must create or already have a parent account. You can purchase keepsakes, like cups, jewelry, magnets, etc., with your child's artwork on it, which is perfect for holidays. Our school's Art Classroom will get 20% back from all sales to spend on art supplies.

You don't have to purchase anything to view your child's art portfolio, and Mrs. Lutz won't pester you to purchase anything. It's really cool because you can view artwork that your child has made years ago if they attended Cecilia Valley.

After you sign up, Mrs. Lutz will have to approve you as a parent. You will then be able to add other family members to view your child's artwork.

Fourth grade students in Ms. Catron’s science class learned about the scientific process by building and testing paper airplanes. After researching forces that aid flight, groups formed a hypothesis on the wing type that would make a plane travel the furthest distance. Teams then created and tested their planes, measured the data, and recorded results.
