Our Macon East family is heartbroken over the sudden and tragic loss of Ashley Pugh, a very special member of our school community.

For many years, Ashley gave so much of her time, love, and energy to Macon East. She was always willing to help, always there to support our students and our school, and her love for Macon East was evident in everything she did. Ashley loved Macon East, and Macon East loved her right back.

Her impact on our school family will not be forgotten. We are incredibly grateful for the many memories she gave us and for the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her.

Our hearts, prayers, and deepest sympathy go out to her husband, Patrick, and her son, JP, as they grieve this unimaginable loss. We pray that God surrounds them with comfort, strength, and peace in the days ahead.

Mrs. Hathcock’s class got to participate in “Bring Your Bible to School” Day! 📖❤️

We talked about what the Bible is, why it is important to have one, and some of the wonderful stories found inside. Today, we focused on Jesus’ command to “tell them the good news” from the book of Matthew. We discussed how the Good News is that God loves us, and that we should share His love with others.

We ended our time together by praying as a class. The students took turns sharing what they wanted to pray for, and it was such a sweet reminder of the faith, love, and compassion growing in their little hearts.
