Spent yesterday with this cutie prepping for Kindergarten. We taught his stuffed animal, "Bumpy", how to write his name like a Kindergartner! Bumpy also worked on letters, sounds and beginning to blend words!

One of the many benefits of tutoring is the one to one attention the student receives. My oldest has always been gifted academically, and she excels with individualized attention. She is also an auditory learner, and we can personalize her education to how she learns best! She just finished 5th grade, but tested into 9th in language arts and math.

I taught my oldest how to read using a strict phonics program with minimal sight words. This is one of my favorite videos of her reading a few weeks after her 3rd birthday. She was always very verbal and quick to learn . (An auditory/visual learner- just like her Daddy) Not all students read this early, but she was our motivation to begin the homeschooling journey- over 8 years ago!
