Many parents and students have looked into tutoring with MathematiCUSE, but then have ruled it out because it was too far of a drive. A lot of people still seem to be very hesitant about virtual tutoring. And I get it! I think many probably had a bad experience with virtual learning during COVID, but it doesn’t have to be like that! One on one tutoring can pretty much work the same way as in person and I have had a lot of success with students!

What are your questions? What stops you from using a virtual tutoring option? What makes you think in person is better?

I know that virtual may not be the best option for all students, but I think it deserves a chance! It allows for so much more flexibility and can often save a lot of time and energy!

MINI TUTORING SESSIONS (15 minutes)

Spring = BUSY students and parents!! We are going to start to sprinkle mini tutoring sessions in throughout our schedule. We are hoping to accommodate last minute requests, so you will be able to sign up until 1-2 hours before the session. Please email to request a different time or a longer session at that time.

Mini tutoring sessions are VIRTUAL ONLY. For students who don’t need a full session. For those who are short on time, only have a few questions or just need some quick guidance.

Please email any work or specific questions ahead of time to [email protected] so tutors can make the most of your time together! Must sign up at least 1 hour in advance or email to request another time. Once you are signed up, tutor will email you a link to connect to the session. Be sure to check the list of subjects offered to make sure the tutor can help with your specific class.

Hannah currently has availability for one or two more elementary students in her schedule! Please contact us to schedule! Hannah MacIntosh is currently a Special Education teacher in the Syracuse City School District. She graduated from Cazenovia College with a certification in Birth-Second Grade Inclusive Education. She graduated from Le Moyne College with a master’s degree in Special Education 1-6 in 2023. She teaches reading, writing and mathematics to elementary students of various ages and skill levels. She is trained in the Sonday System and LETRS. Hannah teaches in a variety of 1:1 and group settings. When not teaching, she enjoys reading, writing, taking nature walks and spending time with loved ones.

Jeffrey Procopio is now available for tutoring in Baldwinsville and virtually. In person meeting location will be at Teachable Moments, LLC.

Jeffrey has a passion for learning as well as teaching. He offers tutoring services in the following Math and Physics classes:

About Jeffrey: He graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in 1989, and went on to study Mathematics at Buffalo State College and Syracuse University. In 1998, Jeffrey was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics (Magna Cum Laude), and, shortly thereafter, he began teaching at Mohawk Valley Community College.

Jeffrey has completed more than sixty hours of graduate study in Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics, at the University at Albany and S.U.N.Y. Polytechnic Institute. He has taught courses at Colgate University, S.U.N.Y. Polytechnic Institute, Utica College (now Utica University), and, most recently, at Hamilton College. He is certified to teach in New York State and has taught at both the middle school level and the high school level.
