Today was Grandparents Day at North Vermillion Head Start, and we had the BEST time! 🤍

Rather than making a bunch of extravagant plans, we kept it simple. We had a couple of special activities and then invited all of our GRAND people to do what children love most… PLAY!

We talked about how important play is in a child’s life, especially during these precious ages of 3–5. So we spent our free choice time playing, teaching, learning, creating, and—most importantly—laughing together.

What a joy it was to watch the people who have helped mold these little hearts and minds step into their world for a little while.

Building blocks.
Playing games.
Reading stories.
Creating memories.
Laughing together.

Because sometimes the most meaningful moments aren’t the extravagant ones.

They’re the simple ones where a child gets to look up and see one of their biggest fans sitting right there beside them. 🥹🤍

What a beautiful day of connection, play, and memories we’ll treasure for a long time.

🍎 What a wonderful start to our school year!

We’ve spent these first few weeks getting to know our classroom, learning our routines, discovering new things, and—most importantly—getting to know one another. 💙

One of the things we love most about Head Start is the opportunity to connect families with school. We want our classroom to be more than just a place children come each day. We want it to feel like a home away from home—a place where children feel safe, loved, supported, and excited to learn.

From building and creating, to making new friends, exploring outside, learning through play, and sharing special moments with our families and community, we are already making so many wonderful memories. 🥰

We are so thankful for the families who trust us with their little ones each day. We can’t wait to see where this year takes us! 🌱💙

Here’s to a year of growing, learning, playing, and growing together! ✨

🚌 Part-Time Bus Driver – North Vermillion Head Start Center (Cayuga)
• Approximately 16 hours per week
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have or be able to obtain a CDL with a valid Standard Certificate (yellow card)

🍎 Head Start Teachers – Benton County Center (Oxford) & Boone County Head Start Center (Lebanon)
• Full-time, academic-year positions
• Benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, 401(k), and PTO
• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood required
