Cayucos Elementary School District Celebrates New TK/K Play Structure

CAYUCOS, CA — August 24, 2026 — Cayucos Elementary School District is excited to celebrate the completion of a new play structure designed especially for its Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students. The District will mark the occasion with a ribbon-cutting celebration, recognizing the community partnerships that helped make this new outdoor learning and play space possible.

The District extends its sincere gratitude to the Cayucos Senior Club and the Cayucos Educational Foundation for their generous support and commitment to Cayucos students. Their contributions helped bring this exciting project from an idea to a reality and reflect the extraordinary community spirit that makes Cayucos such a special place for children and families.

Cayucos Elementary School District also thanks the Cayucos Elementary School District Board of Trustees for their continued support, encouragement, and commitment to creating exceptional opportunities and learning environments for every student.

“The structure epitomizes our goal for every child to dream big and know that the sky is the limit,” said Superintendent Jen Gaviola. “We are very excited about this opportunity to provide a safe, fun, and engaging outdoor learning environment for our kids. We are incredibly grateful to the Cayucos Senior Club, Cayucos Educational Foundation, and our Board of Trustees for believing in our students and helping us continue to make Cayucos the Best Little Beach School.”

The new structure provides Cayucos’ youngest Falcons with a developmentally appropriate space to play, explore, build confidence, develop friendships, and learn through movement and imagination.

The District looks forward to celebrating this wonderful addition to the campus with students, staff, families, and community partners at the ribbon-cutting on August 24, 2026.

A valued Central Coast community member, Nicole brings extensive experience in elementary education and outdoor learning, along with a passion for helping every student succeed. Her caring, student-centered approach and love of hands-on learning make her a wonderful addition to Cayucos Elementary.
