Our 7th Grade Honors Art students kicked off their still-life drawings with a challenge—create the entire piece using ONE continuous line! ✏️

The music is already rocking at Busbee! Step behind the scenes with our Band, Orchestra, and Chorus students as they tune, train, and prepare to shine on stage.

🎺 8th Grade Band is strengthening sound and breath control through long tones.

🎤 7th Grade Chorus is fine-tuning pitch, rhythm, and tone as they build strong vocal technique.

🎻 7th Grade Orchestra is sharpening technique with bow exercises, while our 8th graders are putting those skills to work as they rehearse a performance piece.

Every exercise, every repetition, and every rehearsal is part of the process. Our Bulldogs aren’t just preparing to perform—they’re growing as musicians, collaborators, and artists. ❤️🖤

BACKSTAGE PASS: DANCE & THEATRE

Your all-access pass is taking you behind the scenes at Busbee Creative Arts Academy, where the arts are part of who we are and how our Bulldogs learn, create, collaborate, and grow!

Our 6th grade Dance students are working on their dance projects and bringing their own choreography to life—creating, practicing, refining, and expressing ideas through movement.

Our 8th grade Theatre students jumped into “Pass It Along,” an improv game that challenged them to think on their feet, build on one another’s ideas, and take creative risks.

These are the moments that make our Creative Arts Academy special. The final performance may take center stage, but the creativity, confidence, collaboration, and student voice happening behind the scenes are all part of Rocking Excellence at Busbee!

The campaign trail is officially underway at Busbee! Our Student Council candidates are sharing their ideas, showing their school spirit, and encouraging classmates to make their voices heard in the upcoming election.

These Bulldogs are perfectly squared away!

Mrs. Boutchyard’s and Ms. Stone’s 8th grade math students took their learning into the atrium as they placed perfect squares and non-perfect squares on a giant number line.

Students were thinking, talking, collaborating, and making their mathematical reasoning visible as they decided where each number belonged. What a great way to get students up, moving, and engaged in the math!

Tonight, we’re celebrating our Teacher of the Year, Ms. Wesley, and Staff Member of the Year, Ms. Peeples, at the Lex2 Board Meeting!

We are so proud of these two outstanding members of our Busbee family and incredibly grateful for the hard work, dedication, and care they bring to our school each day. The way they support our students, encourage their growth, and help make Busbee such a special place truly represents Rocking Excellence.

These Bulldogs are showing what happens when students take ownership of their learning—setting goals, putting in the work, tracking their progress, and celebrating their growth!

Check out some of our newest Bulldogs in 6th grade who increased their MAP Reading and MAP Math scores from last March!
