Just a reminder that August 26th is our first Early Release Day! ⏰ Students will dismiss at 11:30 AM.

Please plan ahead for how your child will be getting home that day. If their transportation will be different from their normal routine, be sure to communicate those changes with your child’s teacher ahead of time.

👑 A crown passed with love, from one Griffin to the next. 💜

Our students are cheering on our very own Assistant Principal, Dr. Caulder, as she competes for Mrs. American in honor and memory of her mother, who passed away from pancreatic cancer last year.

But this moment is about so much more than a crown. 👑 Dr. Caulder is showing our young Griffins what it looks like to lead with purpose, turn something close to your heart into something meaningful, and use your voice to make a difference. 💜

🌹 Be Our Guest! 🌹

We are so grateful for every student who stepped outside their comfort zone and auditioned for Beauty and the Beast Jr. We were blown away by the courage, enthusiasm, and talent our Cayce Griffins showed throughout the audition process!

🎭 Rehearsals have officially begun! Our cast received their scripts this week and has already started bringing this magical story to life. We cannot wait to watch them grow as performers, work together as a team, and create something truly special for our Cayce community.

There is a lot of hard work ahead, but the journey to Beauty and the Beast Jr. is officially underway! 🌹🏰✨

Over the next two weeks, our 3rd–5th grade students will have their first experience coding with Ozobots when they go to the STEM Lab during Related Arts.
Students are learning how to use color codes to program robots, developing skills in computational thinking, sequencing, problem-solving, and debugging. As they create and test their codes, they are discovering that mistakes are opportunities to learn, revise, and improve.
We are excited to watch our young programmers grow as they explore coding concepts, collaborate with classmates, and build confidence through hands-on STEM challenges. Stay tuned to see what our Ozobots can do!

From joining Cayce’s Explorer Post in 1989 to becoming the well-loved SRO at Cayce Elementary, his connection to our community spans decades.

With experience as a paramedic, police officer and firefighter, he brings a true heart for service to everything he does—including recently leading another fantastic Cayce Character Camp.

✏️ We Will Write! 📝

Today, our 5th graders came together for a “We Will Write” activity focused on strengthening their writing skills! Students reviewed the important reminder that all strong writing has a beginning, middle, and end and practiced the importance of using correct punctuation to make their writing clear and meaningful.

We loved seeing our 5th graders learning together, sharing ideas, and building the skills they need to become confident writers! 📚✨

Ms. Boulware’s 3rd grade class put the scientific method to the test by making predictions and experimenting with milk and cookies! They investigated questions like: Will the cookies sink or float? Will the milk change colors? Will the cookies get soft or even break apart?
