The Happiness Project is so excited to announce a fundraiser photo and video contest!

Join The Happiness Project in bringing awareness to mental health and breaking the stigma around it. This photo and video contest is a fundraiser for The Happiness Project and mental health resources. This contest is meant to bring awareness to mental health as well as highlighting some amazing women across the nation.

Miss Happiness Project

Entry Fee-
1 Photo/ $10
2 Photos/ $15
Open to any age
Open to anyone in the US
Must be a headshot (no full body shots will be accepted)
Will be judged on overall appearance, confidence, and photo being age appropriate
1 winner and the winner will receive a sash and crown

Miss Stigma Free

Prompt: Share a video about how you live a life and how you will influence other people to be stigma free.

Entry Fee- $5
Open to any age
Open to anyone in the US
Must not exceed 1 minute (anything over a minute will not be accepted )
Will be judged on speaking skills, overall appearance, confidence, and passion for mental health
1 winner and the winner will receive a sash and crown

****These are two different contest! Miss Happiness Project is a photo contest and Miss Stigma Free is a video contest. One winner will be named in each contest. Each winner will receive a crown and sash via mail. You may enter both and a contestant has the ability to win both. No funds as this is a fundraiser for The Happiness Project and mental health resources *****
Applications are open now until June 1st. Winners for both contest will be announced June 2nd!

These past two week The Happiness Project has been working with students at Julia P. Bryant Elementary School in Statesboro, Georgia to make Easter cards for the elderly community. Yesterday our creator, Jaylee Kilgo passed cards at Cave Spring Manor in Cave Spring, Georgia. This Easter almost 100 people where impact by The Happiness Project!

💚 Happy ! 💚

Today we are throwing it back to Valentines Day with and Elementary School Teach ! This past Valentine Day, our CEO the current .carrollcounty virtually met with students at Briar Vista Elementary School and talked about mental health in the elderly community. These students helped create around 50 Valentine’s Day Cards that were passed out at HarborView Nursing Home in Tifton, Georgia. Thank you so much Kelty for inviting into us into your classroom and allowing us to spread the message of The Happiness Project!

As some may know, I was involved in 4-H for over 7 years and Georgia Ag week was always a wonderful week to be celebrated in ! On the last day of Georgia Ag week, I would like to bring the mental health struggles within the agricultural community to light.

Farmers and ranchers in the US have demanding jobs that are often compounded by economic uncertainty, vulnerability to weather events, and isolation. Rural agricultural communities may also have limited access to healthcare and mental health services, which can make it difficult for farm and ranch families to receive support when they are experiencing extreme stress, anxiety, depression, or another mental health crisis. Addressing mental health challenges is critical so that farmers can successfully navigate other stressors that are common in their day-to-day lives. In recent years, the su***de rate among farmers has been on a rise and the su***de rate within dairy farmers has increased at a rapid rate. It’s time that we support our farmers and let them know how to reach out for help when they need it!

The rise in su***de among farmers is the reason why I want to partner with and create a program that educates farmers on mental health so that they can not only help themselves but each other in these hard times.

It’s The Happiness Project’s 1st ever !

💚This Monday we are throwing it back to the the most wonderful time of the year…which is Christmas 🎄. This year The Happiness Project impacted over 600 people 💚

❤️The main resource of is providing emotional support to members of the elderly community through hand-made holiday cards created by students throughout the state. This Christmas students in Paulding, Bartow and Bulloch Counties took part in my initiative. ❤️

🎄500 Christmas cards were sent by mail to two different assisted living homes in Iowa and Ohio. That means that has impacted people in 5 different states! I also got to add Paulding County to my list of counties in Georgia that has reached! 🎄

✨Assisted Living Homes impacted this Christmas by include Townsend Park (GA), Southern Manor (GA), Oaks at Acworth (GA) , The Fountains (Iowa) and Vitalia Adult Community (Ohio). ✨

Just because The Happiness Project has been a little MIA from social media doesn’t mean we have been MIA from serving our community! Updates from our work will be posted soon so stayed tuned!

Since we are entering a new era of The Happiness Project that means new things are coming! With that being said a new weekly post called will occur every Monday! These post will vary from mental health statistics, mental health tips, interviews and so much more. You don’t want to miss what is coming to The Happiness Project!

On January 30th, 2022, the world lost one of its brightest lights. Cheslie was a role model to so many women and young girls. She showed them that it was beautiful to be your natural self. Cheslie influenced me in some many different ways. She gave me confidence in my ability to love myself, she showed me how to embrace my own style, and how to be the BIGGEST boss lady ever! The story of Cheslie shows us that no matter what people may look like on the outside they can be hurting on the inside. It’s time that we prioritize our mental health. It’s time that we get rid of the stigma around mental health. It’s time that we check on our brothers and sisters no matter how much we may think they “look okay”.
I pray for healing and love for Cheslie’s family and friends.
