After finding a Luna Moth outside, we did a few activities this week concerning our nighttime friends. We took our paper moths outside to see how they use camouflage to blend in and hide. We also talked about how moths help pollinate the flowers at night, and used our cardboard moth to fly and pollinate flowers in a little game!

Welcome to Sprouting Smiles Academy! My name is Kaylyn Anderson and I am a certified family care provider that offers services to children ages 2 to 12. I provide a balance of structured and unstructured play to promote children’s independence and learning. Children learn the most during their early childhood, and it is my goal to give them a safe and loving environment to do so in.

While in my care, children will have opportunities to participate in a variety of developmentally appropriate, hands-on activities. The children are involved in first hand experiences and opportunities for self-exploration and discovery. Daily lesson plans are introduced through structured themes with the children's interests in mind. I believe that, through play, children learn about themselves, others and the world around them.
