Last week, the Jr. Ambassadors Club at CES held its first meeting of the year! Students got to know one another while creating fall luminaries together. They used glass jars, fall-colored tissue paper, and Mod Podge to create festive designs. Once finished, they added battery-operated tea lights to make their luminaries glow! šŸ‚šŸ

On Wednesday afternoon, members of the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) club planted daffodil bulbs in front of the tree dedicated to Dr. Cook in 2023.

The flowers will bloom in the spring as a remembrance of Dr. Cook and the wonderful way he served the district.

As part of their Kindness Project, students in Mrs. Lopezā€™s and Mrs. Herbekā€™s classrooms showed their appreciation for the cafeteria workers who prepare their delicious breakfasts and lunches and the bus drivers who safely transport them to and from school each day.

Last week, CMS students participated in the annual Greater Sense of Place Day, where students in grades 6ā€“8 experienced new activities in their community through hands-on workshops, field trips, and outdoor adventures.

This year, students went to Albany's Indoor Rockgym, Catskill Chocolate Co., Cone Zero Pottery, Kaaterskill Falls, Kiwanis Ice Arena, New York State Museum, North Lake, Frederic Church's Olana, Samascott Orchards, Thomas Cole National Historic Site, and Village Blooms.
