Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz - Wikipedia 06/02/2023

I received a call from Dr JB Dyass (UCLA)in regard to my student Julian Frazier who was the first high school junior to participate in the Herbie Hancock Jazz scholarship program. We talked about the program and Julian’s talent.
The program is paying for his lessons and giving him world class playing experience. I asked JB if we needed to work on any specific areas. He said to just keep doing what you’re doing.
I’m so blessed and proud to teach such amazing talent over the years.
