Students from across Maryland will spend the day building leadership skills, exploring college and career pathways, and connecting with peers as they prepare for their futures.

We are excited to announce Michael Cloyd of BGE as MBRT’s new Board Chair and Morgan O'Donnell of Pepco Holdings as Board Treasurer. We are pleased to welcome Charles J. Morton, Jr. of Venable LLP and Dr. Bradford L. Sims of Capitol Technology University as new members of our Board of Directors.

Their leadership and experience will help guide MBRT as we continue our work connecting business and education to support Maryland students and strengthen the state's future workforce.

With the school year officially behind us, the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education want to congratulate Maryland students, families, and educators on a year filled with learning and growth

We hope this summer brings time to rest, reflect and prepare for what’s next. Thank you for being part of the work that supports student success across our state.

MBRT’s Speakers Bureau connects students with industry professional volunteers who bring real‑world experience into the classroom.

This graphic highlights the industries most represented among our volunteers—ranging from government and education to healthcare, STEM, finance and beyond. These professionals speak with students across all 24 Maryland school districts, helping them understand career pathways and workplace expectations firsthand.

We’re grateful to every volunteer who shares their time and expertise to support student learning and career exploration.

We invite members of the Class of 2026, along with families, educators, and mentors, to share your advice for the next group of seniors. What would you tell them as they prepare for this milestone year?

MBRT is sharing this session for alumni who may be exploring careers in accounting, finance, or business.

This in‑person session at the Mid‑Atlantic Coastal Conference will cover the CPA exam structure, licensure requirements, and study planning tips and includes time to connect with accounting professionals and firm leaders during the conference reception.

We’re excited to recognize Caydence P., a recent graduate of Fort Hill High School.

Inspired by her father’s work as a first responder, Caydence plans to begin a career in the medical field, where she hopes to continue helping others and making a difference in her community.

Reflecting on her time with MBRT, Caydence shared that her favorite memory was the wide variety of experiences she had throughout the program.

We are proud of Caydence and look forward to seeing all she will accomplish. Congratulations on this milestone! 🎉

We are proud to recognize Isabela P., a recent graduate of Easton High School and participant in MBRT’s Student Ambassador Program.

This fall, Isabela will attend Mount St. Mary's University to study chemistry. She hopes to pursue a career in forensic science, using scientific investigation to help solve real‑world problems and uncover answers through analytical work.

Reflecting on her MBRT experience, Isabela shared that her favorite memory was attending Youth Congress Day in 2025.

We are proud of all she has accomplished and look forward to seeing where her future takes her. Congratulations, Isabela! 🎉
