Last night, the artists at Empact Art invited CES staff, families, and community members to join them in the making of our collaborative school-wide mural. Things are really starting to take shape, and we are so excited to see the final design come together!

☀️🎉 What a FIELD DAY! 🎉☀️

Our CES students had an amazing time today running, playing, laughing, and making memories with friends! A huge thank you to all of our volunteers and staff who helped make the day such a success.

We especially loved seeing the students enjoy the new inflatables, which were purchased with funds raised through our Fun Run fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who supported the Fun Run and helped make exciting additions like these possible for our students!

Day 2 of mural workshops!

Day two at Catonsville Elementary School! Today we painted with 110 3rd and 4th graders . Working with warm and cool colors of acrylic paint and some fun acrylic paint pens were used to create visual texture on the leaves and circles painted on Monday. We had lots of great support from parents, interns and volunteers. Today went very smoothly and the kids had such a blast. We truly love creating in collaboration with young artist! Stay tuned for more as we return to school this Thursday for another day of painting. This mural is going to look amazing! #wedocoolthings

Today we kicked off a new and very colorful mural project at Catonsville Elementary School ….all 600 students will be painting leaves, flower mandalas and magic swirls. All these hand painted pieces will be part of a large mural for their cafeteria. We loved working with the students and can’t wait to see more magic happen tomorrow! Watching kids paint is so much fun! 🖌️💕🐿️

Visiting artists, interns, and volunteers joined us this morning to guide students through the next phase of our school-wide mural project! The kids really enjoyed the process and we are so excited to see this collaboration start coming together! Stay tuned for more progress photos and updates!
