Today was a GREAT first day at Nike Elementary! 💜🎉

It was so wonderful to see all of our Nike Scouts and catch up with everyone! We hope our students had a fun and successful first day back! 📚✏️

Reminder for Nike families: when dropping off your child(ren) before 8:35 am, please use the drop off line (video coming soon). The front loop is for school busses only.
After 8:35, please park in the Nike parking lot and walk your child into the building and sign them in with the office staff.

⏰ 5:30–7:00 PM

Please try to attend during the time assigned to your child’s last name:

💜 A–G: 5:30–6:00 PM
💜 H–M: 6:00–6:30 PM
💜 N–Z: 6:30–7:00 PM

If your assigned time doesn’t work for your family, no worries! Come anytime between 5:30–7:00 PM. We’ll be happy to see you! 😊

🚪 You may enter through the gym doors or the front doors.

⭐ Be sure to stop by the gym! We will have several tables set up with valuable back-to-school information and resources for our families.

🌟 Office Team 🌟

Our office team is often the first smiling faces our Scouts and families see when they walk through the doors of Nike Elementary. Dr. Tollison, Ms. Nikki, and Mrs. Pettus work together to create a welcoming, supportive, and positive school environment for everyone.

As principal, Dr. Tollison leads with heart, dedication, and a strong commitment to our students and staff. Our secretaries, Ms. Nikki and Mrs. Pettus, keep the day-to-day operations moving, support our families, and make sure everyone who enters our building feels welcomed and cared for.

💜 We are so excited to begin another wonderful school year together and continue making Nike Elementary a place where every Scout feels known, valued, and ready to learn! 🩶

Today was our first day back for staff meetings, and we are officially getting ready for another amazing school year! 📚✏️

We started our day at PHS with our district-wide meeting before heading over to Haue Valley for our Nike Elementary staff meeting.

Together, we talked about the upcoming school year and what we want it to sound like, feel like, and look like for our students, staff, and families. We are excited about the possibilities and the energy we’re bringing into this new year!

Most of all, we are looking forward to welcoming our students back through the doors on Monday, August 24th! 🥳

💜📚 ONE WEEK UNTIL WE’RE BACK, NIKE SCOUTS! 📚💜

The new school year starts Monday, August 24, and we’re getting ready! 🎒✨ Now is a great time to start getting back into healthy routines that help our Scouts feel their best and be ready to learn.

🌙 Prioritize sleep — Start adjusting bedtime and wake-up times so everyone is ready for those early mornings!

🥣🍎 Fuel their bodies — A healthy breakfast, nutritious lunch, and healthy snacks provide the energy students need to learn, play, and stay focused.

💧 Stay hydrated — Students are welcome to bring a water bottle to school! Please make sure it is clearly labeled with your child’s first and last name.

⏰ Establish routines — Consistent morning and bedtime routines can help make school days smoother and less stressful.

🎒 Prepare the night before — Packing backpacks, choosing clothes, and getting everything ready can make mornings a little easier.

💜 Give them time to adjust — New routines take time! A little patience, encouragement, and consistency can go a long way.
