Join MVR-III tonight at Nike Elementary in Catawissa at 7:00pm for a Small Group Sit-Down! 💟

Parents and community members are invited to discuss questions and information regarding Prop K.

Small Group Sit-Downs will take place at 7:00pm at the following locations:

👉 October 15: Nike Elementary in Catawissa
👉 October 20: Millstone Village Senior Reception Room in Pacific

Prop K for Kids is a zero tax rate increase bond referendum on the November 3, 2026, ballot. Bring your questions to a Small Group Sit-Down, and learn more by visiting the district website.

Absentee and Retake Picture Day is tomorrow at Nike Elementary!

Wagner Portrait Group will be at school to photograph any students who were absent on the original Picture Day. Retake photos will also be available upon request.

If your student is having a retake, please return the entire portrait package (including the insert sheet) to the photographer on retake day. Feel free to attach a note describing what you’d like done differently.

Our October monthly assembly focused on one of our Nike Scout core values: COLLABORATION!

Two of our amazing student leaders put on a fun skit, and our students participated by giving a thumbs up or thumbs down to decide whether the actions in the skit demonstrated good collaboration.

We also welcomed Deputy Shaefer from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, who spoke with our students about the importance of following directions during emergency drills and how these drills help keep everyone safe.

We also celebrated some of our amazing Nike Scouts who were recognized by staff with Positive Office Referrals for demonstrating one of our core values!

We are so proud of our students for showing Collaboration, Respect, Critical Thinking, and Perseverance each day!

Great job, Nike Scouts!

Tonight, Nike Elementary hosted our Student Learning Night: Pathways to Success! We loved having our Nike families join us for an evening focused on student learning and achievement.

Families first had the opportunity to learn about the district-wide goals and then visit their child’s classroom to see firsthand what they are learning, creating, and doing each day at school.

As a special treat, families were also able to take home a book and cookie to enjoy together!

Thank you to all of our families who made it out tonight! We appreciate your continued partnership and support of our Nike Scouts. Together, we are helping pave the Pathways to Success for our students!

Nike Student Learning Night is tomorrow night!

Join us TOMORROW, Tuesday, October 6th, from 6–7 p.m. for an evening celebrating all the amazing learning happening at Nike!

We will begin PROMPTLY at 6:00 p.m. in the Nike gym with a brief meeting. Then, students and families will head to their child’s classroom. Teachers will share a little about what students are learning this year, and students will have the opportunity to show off the great things they have accomplished so far!

At the end of the evening, enjoy a cookie and choose a FREE book for every child in your family!

We can’t wait to see you!

Remember: 6:00 p.m. in the Nike gym!

Student Learning Nights begin tomorrow, October 6, at 6:00pm at Nike Elementary! 🎉

The evening will focus on student learning, family engagement, and academic success. Families will have the opportunity to learn what their students will be learning this year, understand their child’s academic progress, and discover ways to support learning at home.

What to expect:

Congratulations to Francis at Nike Elementary, who has already completed the library’s Mark Twain Nominee Challenge for the year! 🎉

Each year, the Library Association of Missouri selects Mark Twain Nominee books as recommended reading material for students in 4th through 6th grade. We are proud of the hard work and dedication Francis has shown in completing this challenge.
