We want to congratulate our seniors who graduated last night, and we can't wait to see what they accomplish in the future!

Thank you to our cadets who have overcome challenges this past year and completed another successful year. To our Juniors who will be Seniors your last year will fly by and it will be your alls turn to walk across the stage to complete one stage in life while moving on to your next chapter.

Honor Guard members posted the colors which included the Alsatian flag in the Twinning Celebration Anniversary of Castroville's Sister City of Ensishein, Alsace, on 28 April in Houston Square. In attendance were guests Ensishein Mayor Michel Habig and over four dozen visitors from Alsace, Castroville Mayor Darrin Schroeder, and members of our Castroville community. Ensishein and Castroville officially became sister cities at a ceremony held in Castroville on 21 March 2009.

Congratulations to MVHS AFJROTC TX-20009th former Corps Commanders Agatha Martinez and Shelby Schrecker!

Cadet Agatha Martinez, UT AFJROTC Detachment 825, Fall 2023 Vice Det Commander and Spring 2024 Operations Group Commander, graduates in May with a major in Chemistry and will commssion with the Air Force. She is the recipient of the Captain John E. Simpson Award which recognizes an outstanding graduate from each Detachment 825 commissioning class who most embraces the spirit of the cadet experience. The winner must excel across the academic, military, and leadership spectrum and must advance the detachment mission to develop high-impact officers.

Cadet Shelby Schrecker recently assumed command of the UTSA AFROTC Detachment 842.

Congratulations to the 2024 AFJROTC Booster Club Scholarship recipients! Both seniors are four year cadets. Combined they participated in 35 community service events totaling 215 service hours, performed 23 LDR events totaling 79 hours, and completed four curricular action events.

Thank you for your service to your Corps, your community, and the Booster Club. We look forward to hearing about your future successes. Congratulations!

The 2024 Corps Trip to Mo-Ranch was great fun! The cadets survived 40 degree temperatures overnight in tents/cabins and enjoyed great weather for a hike, rope courses (including a 50 foot rope swing), swimming, and s'mores around a campfire. They participated in team building exercises creating rafts and racing them, canoeing, and digging for "treasure" and problem solving.
