🌸 June at Auntie Flo's : A Month of Discovery, Creativity & Hands-On Learning! 🌸

What a joyful and enriching month we’ve had exploring the wonderful world of eggs, birds, and animals that hatch! Throughout June, the children engaged in meaningful, hands-on experiences that blended science, art, music, movement, and early literacy in fun and exciting ways.

From shaking and creating their own musical eggs to exploring rhythm, sound, and direction, the children built strong listening skills and body awareness. Our days were filled with creativity as they painted, stamped, and crafted nests, eggs, oceans, and even bird feeders—strengthening fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and encouraging self-expression. Sensory-rich activities like scooping rice, sewing felt eggs, and spreading peanut butter helped develop coordination while keeping learning playful and engaging.

We dove into early science concepts by learning about how animals build nests, how eggs hatch, and how different creatures—like birds and turtles—care for their young. Through storytelling and interactive reading, the children practiced prediction, problem-solving, and language development while building a love for books. Favorite stories sparked conversations about resilience, patience, and caring for others.

Movement and dramatic play brought our lessons to life! Whether pretending to be mother turtles laying eggs, dancing like wiggly worms, or using scarves to explore concepts like over/under and in/out, the children strengthened their gross motor skills and spatial awareness. Along the way, they practiced counting, color recognition, and descriptive language, naturally building early math and literacy skills.

Most importantly, this month was filled with opportunities to grow socially and emotionally. The children practiced turn-taking, cooperation, and communication as they worked together, shared materials, and celebrated each other’s ideas. We are so proud of their curiosity, creativ

MEET MS. TRACY

Hello families,

My name is Tracy Estephan, and I am absolutely thrilled to introduce myself as a new caregiver and Teacher here at Auntie Flo's! I have two wonderful daughters, ages eight and nine, who bring so much joy to my life. I love spending quality time with them, actively volunteering at their school, hanging out with family and friends. When I’m not with my kids, you can often find me enjoying long walks on the beach and soaking up the beauty of the ocean.

I have a passion for crafting, creativity, and finding exciting ways to teach that spark a love for learning. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to working with children, and I am eager to bring that enthusiasm to your little ones. There’s nothing quite like the joy of watching young children discover their independence and navigate the world around them! Looking forward to being apart of a positive and enriching environment where your children can thrive.

We wanted to take a moment to reconnect and say hello! Recently, Facebook hasn’t been available for us to use, and we’ve truly missed sharing all of the special moments, learning experiences, and daily fun happening here at Auntie Flo's.

We’re excited to be back and can’t wait to catch you up on everything we’ve been exploring together!
