The organic avocados featured this month come from Sacred Valley Produce, a family-owned farm in Ojai, California.

Did you know that avocados can take between 14 and 18 months to grow? California is home to approximately 3,000 avocado farmers, with most of the stateā€™s avocados grown in Southern California.

šŸŽ» Registration is open for Voces del Valleā€”CVUSDā€™s free after-school mariachi program!

Students in grades 3ā€“12 can learn violin, trumpet, guitar, vihuela, or guitarrĆ³n from professional mariachi musicians. No experience or audition is required, and CVUSD provides instruments at no cost.
