From a Little Grappler to a Fargo All-American!
Not too many people work harder than this young man.
Huge congratulations to Raymond Castillo on an incredible achievement—placing 3rd at the prestigious Fargo tournament, widely regarded as the toughest wrestling tournament in the country.
Competing against more than 120 of the nation’s best wrestlers in the 16U 138-pound division, Ray went 7-1 while representing Team California, earning All-American honors.
This moment didn’t happen by chance. Ray put in the work every single day. For example, his routine often started with a 6:00 a.m. training session, followed by wrestling practice later in the day, then straight to the academy for Jiu-Jitsu rounds or more wrestling before finally heading home to recover and do it all again the next day.
Some people talk about hard work. Others live it. Ray is one of the young athletes who truly understands what it takes to compete at the highest level.
This is only the beginning. We’re incredibly proud of you, Ray, and we can’t wait to watch you continue to grow, compete, and represent at the highest level. The future is bright!
