Thanksgiving week Pt. 1! The Pilgrims came to America
๐Ÿฆƒ
Two weeks ago Teacher Lisa taught us about the Pilgrims coming to America. We learned why they came to America, where they landed and that it was a hard journey. We also got to learn about turkeys
๐Ÿ‚
Some things we learned about the pilgrims are:
โ€ข They left England because the King did not let them worship God the way the Bible said.
โ€ข The pilgrims came on a ship called the Mayflower
โ€ข They landed at a place called Plymouth Rock
โ€ข They had a hard winter because they had no houses
๐Ÿฆƒ
๐Ÿ‚
Our letter of the week was:
T is for Turkey

Halloween and Nocturnal Animals Week!
๐ŸŽƒ
Three weeks ago, Teacher Christie and Teacher Katie taught us all about nocturnal animals. We learned about bats, owls and got to carve our very own jack-o-lantern.
๐Ÿฆ‡
Some things we learned about bats are:
โ€ข Bats start to fly by falling, they cannot fly when on the ground.
โ€ข Bats eat insects, fruit and seeds
โ€ข They sleep upside down
โ€ข They are the only mammals that flies
๐Ÿฆ‰
Some things we learned about owls are:
โ€ข They can turn their heads backwards
โ€ข They cannot move their eyes
โ€ข Owls live in barns, trees, old buildings and tunnels
โ€ข Owls donโ€™t make any sounds when they fly
โ€ข They grab their prey with their sharp claws
๐ŸŽƒ
We did not have a letter of the week, but reviewed:
X, P, C, F and G

Fall fun!
โœจ๐Ÿ‚โœจ
This past week Teacher Lisa taught us all about Fall and we were able to explore the different animals that live in trees and learn about how they store food for the winter. We had our very own โ€œfall treeโ€ in our classroom with many animal puppets to play with.
โœจ๐Ÿโœจ
We have turned our playground into a pumpkin patch where we can pick pumpkins, rake the leaves and decorate our houses with the beautiful changing leaves and flowers.
โœจ๐Ÿ‚โœจ
Some things we learned are:
leaves change from green to yellow, orange, pink, red, purple or brown
leaves fall to the ground, and the tree will grow new leaves in the spring
squirrels are busy finding nuts, seeds, and berries right now to keep for the winter. They bring them to their nests by stuffing them in their cheeks that have big pouches
God gave squirrels bushy tails to act like a blanket, keeping them warm in the winter
โœจ๐Ÿโœจ
โœจ๐Ÿ‚โœจ
Our letter of the week was:
L is for Leaf
โœจ๐Ÿโœจ
Thereโ€™s still room in our TK class! The link for our website is in our bio!
