This week we started learning about Chanukah.
We began with the exploring the holy temple - we built a holy temple out of “silver” blocks.
Played the part of lightning the menorah.
We practiced our colors with draidels. We spinner the draidels with paint. In science we learned about wax resistance- we made pictures with Chanukah candles and then painted over it.
We tunes out fine motors with droppers and had loads of fun squirting the draidels and don’t forget spinning out large blowup draidel. We practiced with putting the candles in the menorah.
The Torah portion this week talks about Jacob's dream with the ladder of angles - we worked on out gross motor skills of going up and down the ladder.

Shabbat Shalom!

This week we learned about Parshat vayera. Abraham loved to invite guest - we made a tent just like Avraham with 4 open doors.
We got very busy preparing food in our sensory bin. We also did fine motor skills of spooning “food” to bowls and dishes. We practiced setting the table and putting plates, forks🍴 , spoons🥄 , and cups in the right places. We went to Abrahams tent and made real food - eggs for our guests and ate our lunch there.

This week we discussed Abraham’s travels and learned about transportation- we coordinated cars and their color tunnels. Science- we discovered how the make ramps and placed it in different heights to see what makes them go faster. And placed the car in “snow” and melted it with vinegar. So much to watch!
Avraham hid Sara in a box - we pretended like o be in boxes and also did cutting practice in the boxes.
We also learned G-ds promise to Avraham that he will have children as many and the stars and sand - we played with stars and sand and each one of us is one of the stars.
We baked star cookies.
