GRADUATION STEP 2: SUBMIT 2 PHOTOS FOR THE CEREMONY

Families can SUBMIT TWO PHOTOS of their graduate for the ceremony NO later than Monday, May 11th.

Photo Guidelines:

ONE PHOTO should be in the student’s CAP AND GOWN.

Tassles should be on the RIGHT side of the cap.

Gowns must be ZIPPED closed.

Lays and cultural sashes are welcome.

The SECOND PHOTO can be ONE of the following:

A second cap and gown photo

A senior photo

A professional photo

A favorite photo

It MUST be school appropriate and follow all dress code guidelines and school policies

The photo can ONLY have the graduate - there cannot be anyone other than the graduate in the photo.

Photo files MUST be saved/named with your student’s first and last name

Example: lastname_firstname1

PICK UP INSTRUCTIONS FOR CAPS & GOWNS

CAP AND GOWN PICK UP INSTRUCTIONS:

Tuesday, Thursday (10am-12pm) and Friday 6-7pm

Go to Redwood’s lower parking lot

PLEASE stay in your car and follow staff members’ instructions

If there are multiple cars around you, please park at least 2 spots away to create a safe distance between cars

We will put the cap and gown in your trunk or in your backseat.

If you are dropping off a donation, there will be a bucket available.

If you are dropping off school materials (books, chromebooks, etc.) please put those materials in a paper or plastic bag WITH YOUR STUDENT’S NAME ON IT.

STEP 1 - CAP AND GOWN PICK UP AT REDWOOD NEXT WEEK

If you already ordered a cap and gown, it will be ready for you to pick up.
If you did not order one yet, please email [email protected] so we know what height to give you.
PICK UP CAP AND GOWN AT REWOOD
TUESDAY AND THURSDAY (May 5th and 7th) FROM 10 AM-NOON
FRIDAY (May 8th) FROM 6-7 PM
The sooner you pick up your cap and gown, the more time you have to take your picture and video. Specific instructions will be provided in STEP 2.
ALL graduates will have access to a cap and gown.
If you can donate $20 for your cap and gown at the time of pick up, we will have a bag to drop the money in.
If that is not possible right now, we understand.
It is okay to decorate the CAP only. All decorations must be appropriate for school. Any inappropriate images may result in your picture or video being removed by the company.
Lays and cultural sashes are also welcome for cap and gown photos.

STEP 1 - MATERIALS RETURN FOR STUDENTS WHO ALREADY GRADUATED
If your student already graduated, this is a great time to return school materials, including:
Textbooks
Chromebooks and Chromebook cords
Outstanding CVHS books
Please put materials in a paper or plastic bag with your student's name on it
All materials need to be returned before students are eligible to receive a final transcript and diploma.

Graduation Ceremony Update - more to follow
Dear Families of Graduates and Soon-to-be-Graduates from Redwood Campus Programs:

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY FOR GRADUATION CEREMONY UPDATES AND TIMELINES.

We have been working hard to figure out the best way to celebrate your student in a meaningful way given the current public health directives. All CVUSD secondary schools will be celebrating with their own special and personalized virtual graduation ceremony.

Our plan for our school is listed below. While we know this is going to be different than our in-person ceremony, we are determined to celebrate your student and their important accomplishment.

We have a tight timeline to get everything ready for your student and your family by our graduation date. Please read carefully and let us know if you have any questions.

COMMUNICATION will take place by:
Sending regular email updates and directions.
Posting all information to our Redwood Website: https://redwood.cv.k12.ca.us/

THE PLAN:
STEP 1: Pick up caps and gowns at Redwood NEXT WEEK
STEP 2: Submit cap and gown pictures and graduate videos
STEP 3: Virtual Graduation Ceremony on our regular graduation day: Wednesday, May 27th
STEP 4: Diploma Pick up at Redwood on May 28th!
