🚨CA Spotlight Alert!🚨

As you may have seen, we have opened the Community Advisor application on eRezlife! In the next few weeks leading up to the closing of the application on March 12th, we’ll be sharing the stories of our current Community Advisors! This week’s spotlight is our friend John Walsh!

John shares: “I am currently a CA in Castleton Hall on the first floor. This is my first year in residence life. My major is multidisciplinary studies. I am also involved in sports by being on the Men’s basketball team. Being a CA has really helped me meet and connect with many different students on our campus. I feel like if someone is eager to help make the experience of Castleton a better one then I think being a CA is the job for them.”

🚨CA Spotlight Alert!🚨

As you may have seen, we have opened the Community Advisor application on eRezlife! In the next few weeks leading up to the closing of the application on March 12th, we’ll be sharing the stories of our current Community Advisors! To kick off our spotlight posts, we are pleased to introduce you to Emily Benz of Castleton Hall!

“My name is Emily and I am a first year Community Advisor at Castleton; currently I am teamed up with four other amazing CAs in Castleton Hall. I am studying nursing with the hopes of one day working as a NICU nurse. Outside of reslife, I work in the Wellness Center as an Office Assistant, and in the Academic Support Center as an Anatomy and Physiology tutor. I also serve as the Vice President of the Castleton Student Nurses Association! Something that I really love about being a CA is how I am able to connect and meet other people who I ordinarily wouldn’t have; this opportunity has allowed me to make so many new friends! I also have really enjoyed crafting my bulletin boards and helping other CAs with theirs. My advice for anybody thinking about applying to be a CA is to go for it, everyone is so welcoming and eager to help the new CAs learn and grow into the best community advisor that they can be!”

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Mikayla Sullivan

For our fourth installment of Senior Spotlights, we would like to recognize CA Mikayla Sullivan!! Mikayla has brought this year's Community Advisor staff and her residents a nurturing and positive attitude! She is respected by her supervisors, peers, and residents! Mikayla is also involved beyond the Castleton campus being involved in the nursing program. The Residence Life department would like to thank Mikayla for her energy and dedication to her role as CA. We wish her great success in all of her future endeavors and thank her for currently serving our Vermont community as she works in the medical field (which she was also recognized for by SGA during awards) Congratulations, Mikayla!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Igor Almeida

For our third installment of Senior Spotlights, we would like to recognize CA Igor!! Igor has brought this year's Community Advisor staff joy and authenticity! He is respected by his supervisors, peers, and residents! Igor is also involved on the Castleton campus being a member of the Men's Basketball team. The Residence Life department would like to thank Igor for his energy and dedication to his role of CA. We wish him great success in all of his future endeavors! We will miss his "Hey Burrito!" chant! Congratulations, Igor!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Abby Gray

For our second installment of our "Senior Spotlights", the Residence Life department would like to spotlight Senior Community Advisor Abby Gray! Abby has been a Senior CA for two years and involved with the Department for an additional year prior. She has dedicated her time as a CA to the service housing expressing her creativity and passion for education. Abby is also involved throughout campus in such activities as the service club: Rotaract. The Residence Life department would like to thank Abby for her dedication and enthusiasm in her role as CA. We wish her great success in all she will accomplish in the future! Congratulations!
