Shoutout to all the social workers!
March is Social Work Month. This year’s theme is “Uplift. Defend. Transform.” OVS recognizes the vital role social workers play in aiding individuals and families, including those impacted by crime. OVS is especially grateful to the countless social workers who make it their mission to help victims and survivors of crime find stability, safety, and support when they need it most.

This guy and his love for Denver Sports!
Meet Coach Blake Kush!
5th/6th Grade Girls
I'm coach Blake and together with my amazing wife Danielle, we have become the travel and rec family we said we would never be! :-) We have two amazing daughters who participate in all the sports and we have had the privilege to coach many of their teams over the years.
I am originally from Denver, Colorado and can't escape the fanatic love I have for the Broncos/Nuggets/Avalanche/Rockies. I moved to New York in 2003 and was a Division 1 AA athlete while at Siena. Sports have always had an influence on me and a good coach can be forever memorable in your life.
By day, I'm a civil servant doing MACRO social work for the New York State Office of Victim Services, by night, I coach youth sports and serve on the Schodack Central School District Board of Education.
I love youth athletics and while wins are great, learning to be confident in yourself is priceless. Looking forward to another great Sacred Heart season!
I’ve spent many years playing, coaching only the last few though.
I choose to coach because nothing is better than witnessing a young athlete grow confident in their ability to compete, lead, and try something new!

Such a great accomplishment! Congratulations Schodack Central School District and to all our student athletes!
Maple Hill Jr./Sr. High School was selected as a 2024-25 Scholar-Athlete School of Excellence by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA)! Schools qualify for this recognition if 75% of their varsity athletics teams received the NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete Team recognition during the school year. A team’s average GPA for 75% of its roster must be greater than or equal to 90 to qualify as a Scholar-Athlete Team.
