Mo and Mark Briggs are a devoted couple facing extraordinary medical and financial hardship. Mo, who just turned 65, has been diagnosed with rapidly progressing Spacial Dementia, which has severely compromised her balance and depth perception, leaving her completely unable to care for herself. A woman who once ran her own daycare, built a career in banking, and raised four sons, Mo now relies entirely on Mark for every aspect of her daily life.

Mark, a retired Deputy Sheriff from California, is her sole caregiver, but his own health is in jeopardy. He has a pacemaker whose battery life has been called into question by the manufacturer, and doctors have recently discovered a hole in his heart that may require surgery in the near future. That surgery would mean a 5–6 day hospital stay and an 8-week recovery time during which he would be unable to care for Mo at all. If Mark requires surgery, Mo would need full-time nursing facility care, which is a cost they simply cannot cover. As both of their conditions progress, the financial need will only grow.
