It was a bittersweet weekend here as we said goodbye to my first grand piano; I’ve been noticing that it just wasn’t holding up to the weekly usage. At 95 years old, the Mason & Hamlin has certainly earned a deserving break!

Classic Pianos has a generous trade in policy, so we were able to find a newer piano (Kawai RX1) without breaking the bank. 😉 It’s a beautiful piano with a gorgeous sound that will work much better for weekly lessons and rehearsals. Rob and I already sat down last night and played some duets! 😍 Can’t wait for students to return from spring break and try it out!

This incoming snowstorm is giving flashbacks to previous big March storms. Lessons are canceled or virtual tomorrow; stay safe and enjoy the snow!

Did an EMG test this week to try and pinpoint some nerve issues in my right hand. Thankful for tests to figure out what’s wrong, and hopefully I’ll get answers in the next week! In the meantime, I treated myself to after being poked and shocked for the 45 minute test. 😅
