Did you know that the school gardens are a committee within CRCDA? All committees benefit from our rented space! Thank you!

UPDATE to Garage Sale DROP OFF Schedule! The community is amazing! Thank you! we have collected so many treaures. This is going to be a fun sale!

This weekend .. NO DROP OFFS. Volunteers need a couple of days to rest! :-)

See attached schedule of days and times beginning Monday August 31st. With travel plans for the Bloom Team volunteers for Labor Day weekend, the LAST DAY for drop offs will be Thursday September 3rd by 3 PM.

If you have large items, please bring Thursday before 3 PM. We'll have to put them in last thing! We wil be full to the max! All thanks to our community who brought us wonderful items to raise rent funds for all the committees within CRCDA. Thank you!

Today Rocket Garden Teacher Ms Lowsley harvested the Yellow Plums.

7 local families AND our Villager Inn friends were blessed with a HUGE abundance of plums.

Please remember all produce from the garden is distributed to local families, our local food bank and our senior citizens. It is not for public harvesting.

This week students and their teacher Ms Lowesly planted the rest of the summer annuals, sunflowers, eggplants and MORE!! The potato plants are looking great and those fruit trees are LOADED!!

Whew! It’s WARM!

Just a reminder, that the garden area has surveillance cameras- and if you or your friends decided to break the branches off the cherry trees and blueberry bushes-
The school admin can identify folks from the video.

This garden is maintained by students and volunteers and we ask the community be respectful and not destroy the trees and plants.

Very sad this morning.

Fortunately there are a bunch of lovely flowers to cheer us up.

The colors in the Rocket Garden are BEAUTIFUL!

Remember to water deeply after the heat of the day is gone or early before it warms up! Those veggies will need a little more care tomorrow and Monday.

And remember to water the gardener too!! Keep that water bottle handy!

The Rocket Garden is really “Spring-ing” into Summer!!

Onions, potatoes, green beans, peas, rainbow chard, plenty of blossoms on the pansies and calendula to keep those pollinators coming. The Plums are thick this year! Yummm!

Sunflower seeds to compete in the America In Bloom Sunflower Display competition. The seeds were provided to entrants to start and grow into the “Most Unique Display” and we will be working with the Elementary School Blooming Generations Garden to create something MAGICAL.

Myyyy goodness check out the herb and native plants loooooking goooood.

Castle Rock Blooms volunteer Sherisha came today and sanitized and washed the greenhouse and the containers that the students will use to start this seasons veggies go the garden! It was a nice warm afternoon!
