I’m now officially living in Colorado! 🙌
The past couple of weeks have been full of packing/moving/unpacking, so very little harp playing has been involved! 😬
But now I can say things have calmed down a little bit and I actually get to practice more! ☺️❣️
Today’s practice session included one of my favorite romantic selections of my wedding repertoire! Delibe’s Flower duet from Lakmé 🌷

Happy Monday!
I know many people hate Mondays but I kind of love it! 😝
It’s the first day of a fresh new week to go get those goals! 🙂
Today I’m just reading through some romantic music to select repertoire I’ll be playing in a Bridal Expo later in the month. I kind of love Ray Pool’s arrangements so I’m glad he made one for La Vie En Rose 🌸
I hope you like it too! Have a wonderful week everyone! ☺️

Yep...it's once again that time of year when we are supposed to think about New Years resolutions and what habits we’d like to change. A tasty way to learn some music theory! 🤤🎶🍪

Welcome the newest member of the Caravello harp family! 🤗
Meet Salvi’s Ana Deluxe, the favorite lever harp I’ve ever played! 😍
First wedding of the year! 💒💕
Here’s my very first EVER 😝🤓 (talk about late to the party!)
About a year ago I was playing one of my favorite harp pieces of all time (that also happens to have the longest name) 🙃 “Introduction and Variations on Themes of Norma by Bellini.” Here’s little excerpt of the theme based on the duet “In mia man alfin tu sei.” The delicate melody that makes my heart soar a little bit💗😌
It’s showtime! ✨🎶💚
Tomorrow I’ll have the pleasure of performing with the Texarkana Symphony for their Christmas concert! If you’re in town come have a listen to get into the Christmas spirit! 🎄🎁 🎼
Domenico Scarlatti wrote the timeless 555 Sonatas for hapsichord in the early 18th century. They are still played today all over the world time and again, and very much loved by classical music fans.
While Scarlatti did not write this sonata in B minor K.27 for harp, there are many transcriptions of it out there, I hope you like my own! Enjoy this Scarlatti to begin the weekend! ❣️🎵❣️🎵❣️

Scarlatti Sonata in B minor K27 on harp (Lethicia Caravello)
Snippet from one of my favorite parts of today’s concert. We performed “Conte Fantastique” by André Caplet, a piece for harp and string quartet based on Edgar Allan Poe’s story of the “The Masque of the Red Death.” ☠️🩸
Thank you for all of those who watched! I hope we could spook up your weekend just a little! 👻
First ✨LIVE✨solo recital for more than a year is worth celebrating! During this pandemic I really learned to not take performing and connecting with an audience for granted. Thank you for everyone who came 🧡
It feels good playing with people once again! 😌

“Chatelaine dans sa tour” is one of two solo compositions Gabriel Fauré wrote for the harp. The piece is a miniature based on the poem “Une sainte en son auréole” by the famous symbolist poet Paul Verlaine. Its intimate and romantic feel evokes an image of “courtly love,” a love from afar. 💝😇
The poem:
A Saint in her halo,
A Châtelaine in her tower,
All that human words contain
Of grace and love;
The golden note of a horn
In forests far away,
Blended with the tender pride
Of noble Ladies of long ago;
And then - the rare charm
Of fresh, triumphant smile,
Flowering in swan-like innocence
And the blushes of a child-bride;
A nacreous sheen of white and pink,
A sweet patrician harmony -
All these things I see and hear
In her Carolingian name.

It has now been a full year since I last performed on a real stage with a real audience. I miss the vibrancy of of the stage and the joy of playing with other musicians! Let’s get those vaccines so we can go back to attending and playing in live concerts once again! 🎭🎵
I'd like to welcome you to my page with some J.S. Bach! 😊 As all harpists know, J.S. Bach, never really composed specifically for the harp, but that doesn't mean we won't play his wonderful music! 😉
This Prelude comes from a Suite for the lute, an ancient string instrument. It was transcribed for the harp by the French harpist Marie-Claire Jamet and ornamented by "moi"!
I hope you enjoy this short Prelude I love so much!
