This summer, your child can discover their inner artist!
A week of summer camp at Ivybrook can look like:
🎨 Painting to the rhythm of music and letting the beat guide the brush
🧲 Using magnets to create art
🌻 Learning to paint like Van Gogh and Monet
It is expressive, imaginative, and rooted in the belief that every child has an artist inside them.
Summer is almost here – register your child for a summer of creativity!

Up until this point, you've been your child’s only teacher.
You've guided their first steps, cheered for their first words, and patiently answered their endless questions. Sharing that role for the very first time is a significant moment for both you and your child.
Our classrooms are designed to be a natural extension of the warmth and security of home, giving children the space to explore the world with independence and confidence while giving parents the peace of mind that comes from knowing their child is truly seen.

The summer slide is real, and it starts earlier than most parents expect.
Research shows that children can lose up to two months of learning over the summer without continued engagement.
We keep young minds active and curious all summer long through hands-on projects, themed weekly sessions, and the same blended Montessori and Reggio Emilia approach that families trust during the school year.
Learning doesn't have to stop when the school year does!

At Ivybrook, we focus on the process AND the final product. The true learning happens in the messy, joyful moments of discovery.

What can a week of summer camp look like at Ivybrook?
🌋 It looks like discovering what causes a volcano to erupt.
🦸♂️ It looks like building force fields and testing whether magnets can make a superhero fly.
🤖 It looks like using everyday materials to build a robot.
It is hands-on, imagination-driven, and rooted in real scientific thinking.

Preschool is the introduction to what learning feels like.
That first experience is foundational and impactful. Research in early childhood development consistently shows that the quality of a child's earliest educational environment impacts academic achievement, emotional development, and social skills well into the school years.
At Ivybrook Academy, we want that foundation to be built on joy. By blending Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies, our individualized curriculum meets early learners exactly where they are, so that learning is an exciting, welcoming adventure.

When we talk about our summer camps having a strong STEAM focus, we know it can sound a bit intimidating for a preschooler. Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math are big words for a four-year-old!
But at Ivybrook, STEAM is purposeful play, like testing different materials at the water table to discover which ones sink and which ones float, or building a bridge out of wooden blocks to figure out why it tips over. It is trial, error, and a whole lot of laughter!
That is what learning feels like at an Ivybrook Academy Summer Camp. Register your child today for a summer of discovery and fun!

We embrace child-led learning because we believe every child’s curiosity and interests are the key to unlocking their potential.
By encouraging exploration and decision-making through individualized instruction, we help preschoolers build confidence, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong love of learning.

An emergent curriculum means that our lessons often evolve based on the interests of the students.
If a classroom of young learners shows an interest in sharks, our educators build long-term projects around that curiosity. Students might research shark habitats in the classroom library, explore buoyancy at the water table, or paint collaborative ocean murals. By pivoting to follow the children's natural curiosity, we ensure high engagement and active participation in their own education.
