American Angus Association Announces the Ten North Carolina Breeders Who Registered the Most Angus
The 10 producers who registered the most Angus beef cattle in the state of North Carolina recorded a total of 1,128 Angus with the American Angus Association® during fiscal year 2026, which ended Sept. 30, according to Mark McCully, Association Chief Executive Officer.
The 10 top recorders in North Carolina are:

The Biltmore Company, Asheville
Gragg Farms, Boone
J Roger Lane, Gates
E Bruce Shankle II, Polkton
Randy & Regina Sipe, Claremont
The 909 Ranch, Statesville
Broadway Cattle Farm, Monroe
Uwharrie Ridge Farms, Asheboro
Chapman Cattle Co, Taylorsville
Association members across the nation in 2026 registered 332,453 head of Angus cattle. “Angus breeders lead the way in innovation and genetic progress, giving their commercial cattlemen customers an advantage in the marketplace,” McCully said. “The diversity of the breed means that cattlemen across the country can find the right genetics – no matter their breeding objective.”
