We want to offer huge apologies to our cubs, big and small, who didn’t get to buy a popsicle today! We are blown away at how quickly we sold out this afternoon, and while that’s a good problem to have we also know this can cause disappointment for our cubs! We based our numbers off previous years’ sales, and did not anticipate such a high demand! We will be better prepared for the upcoming weeks so that we don’t have to turn anyone away. Thank you for your understanding and stay cool out there!

We’d love to welcome all of our CES families to our PTA Association Meeting & Welcome Breakfast this Thursday, August 20 at 8:15 AM! ☕🥐

Come meet our Principal and PTA Board, hear what we have planned for the year, learn about volunteer and fundraising opportunities, and help us kick off an exciting new school year together. 💚

📍 LOCATION CHANGE: Due to construction, the meeting has been moved to Room 21 on campus.

We’ll also have a light breakfast, a door prize raffle for attendees, and a warm welcome for all of our CES families! 🎉

Happy first day of school, cubs and cub families!
We’re proud to be purchasing kindness shirts again for every cub to be worn at our Cub Splash Dash event on Friday, September 18th, and need your help! Please click on the button in the principal memo to access the Google form we are using to collect shirt sizes. If you have more than one child at CES, please make sure to fill it out for each child separately.

It’s a new school year which means another opportunity to support your child’s school and educational experience by renewing your PTA memberships — or join for the first time!

🤳Anyone can join by scanning the QR code or clicking the link in our bio to easily sign up online!

👥 Joining does not obligate you to attend meetings or volunteer for any events, but it does say, “I support improving the lives of all children and families, and giving my child an enriched educational experience!”

🛎️ Note: Our membership contest will officially begin at Back-to-School night, but don’t worry — any memberships that come in before that will be counted toward the contest! Please remember to include your child’s teacher/grade when signing up so we can give them credit.

Anyone else in denial that summer break is wrapping up? Us too. We hope you’ve been enjoying every moment, but if you are looking for a way to keep your cubs busy we encourage them to start thinking of ways to create a submission for our Reflections Program!

Core Art Categories:
🩰 Dance Choreography: Solo and group-styled routine creations.
🎥 Film Production: Short-form narrative, animation, or documentary projects.
📝 Literature: Short stories, poetry, prose, and dramatic scriptwriting.
🎶 Music Composition: Original musical recordings and instrumental pieces.

🎨 Visual Arts: 2D and 3D mixed media, drawing, painting, and sculpture.

🚨 attention all CES PTA members! 🚨
Please excuse the interruption of your summer break, but we would like to share and ask that you mark your calendars to hop on a very quick special association meeting being held on Wednesday, July 1, at 4pm! The only order of business will be approving the Booster contract for our main fundraiser in September. We do need to make quorum (at least 13 in attendance) in order to carry out this business, so please copy the zoom link into your calendars and look forward to seeing you there! Until then, keep those summer break vibes going! 😎 ☀️

Thank you to the for hosting a beautiful Awards Banquet and dinner on Monday! It was a wonderful evening where we were able to hear inspiring words from the Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year and CA State PTA President, and celebrate some very special individuals and achievements — including our own! We knocked it out of the park with our memberships this year, increasing from last year’s high of 278 members to our new best in 5 total of 365 members! Congrats and thank you to each one of our members for helping us receive this recognition!

We were also beyond thrilled that our long-time PTA Teacher Liaison and dynamic 6th grade teacher at CES, Kim Potter, was recognized with the “Outstanding Teacher Award” for all her service and dedication to her students and our PTA! Additionally, our PTA President, Megan DeMasters, was humbled to receive the Honorary Service Award for her years of service and dedication to making our CES PTA a welcoming place to gather and create a lasting impact on our children and families! What an honor!
