Starting next week, you’ll see some extra helping hands during morning drop-off as our CES Valet Team gets started! Two officers from the California Highway Patrol joined us this week to provide safety training for our Valet Cubs, and we are so grateful for their partnership in helping us create a safer and smoother arrival for everyone.

As we get started, please help our Valet Team by pulling ALL the way forward and waiting to let your child out until you reach the designated drop-off area at the front of the school, where our yard supervisors and Valet Team are ready to assist. Please also remain in the drop-off line rather than using the inside lane to go around other vehicles. We know mornings can be busy, and your patience helps keep all of our Cubs safe!

Once your child is safely out of the car, give our Valet Cubs a little wave when you are ready to pull away. We are hopeful that these extra helping hands will make morning drop-off safer, smoother, and more efficient for everyone.

One final safety reminder: Please do not drop students off along Hillcrest. With traffic from both our school and the middle school, stopping along Hillcrest creates an unsafe situation for students and drivers. Please use our designated school drop-off loop instead.

Thank you for slowing down, showing kindness, and working together to keep our Cubs safe. Better Together, every piece matters!

Every night in the United States over 600,000 people live on the streets. This October Castaic Elementary wants to prove that even the smallest act of kindness, like donating socks, can make a big difference in the lives of others.
How can you help? Send in a pair (or two!) of new socks to Castaic Elementary during the month of SOCKTOBER. Look for drop off bins located in the front of the school or in the front office. Last year we donated over 600 pairs of socks!! Help us make a difference. 🧦

Fifth grade trip to the lake ✅️
We love this tradition! Every fall the fifth grade teachers take their students to Castaic Lake where they learn about water safety from the Castaic Lake Lifeguards. Added bonus is a morning of kayaking and playing in the water!

Thank you Cubs for helping us with such a successful fundraiser!! Holy guacamole we reached our goal! Ms. Bowden is going to become a giant bowl of nachos in the coming weeks! But first things first! Tomorrow is the Splashdash so make sure you wear something comfortable and have some good running shoes.T-shirts will be passed out tomorrow morning in your classroom before your run. Thank you again to everybody that participated and made this such a successful fundraising event. We couldn't do it without our Cub community. Today the Santa Clarita Education Foundation hosted the Principal for a Day event throughout Santa Clarita. Community members had the opportunity to gain insight into the heart of our schools. All donations from this event fund impactful programs such as Teacher Grants, Bag of Books and Teacher of the Year Recognitions. Ms.Bowden spent the day on our campus with "Principal" Dwight Hawkins a business owner and long time resident of Castaic. Thank you for spending the morning with us Principal Hawkins, we appreciate your support of Castaic Elementary! Always a CUB!!
