Today Daxton woke up ready for an egg hunt. So I said you need to get dressed. He ran off to his room and came running back with his Daddy shirt. He said, Mom this is a great easter shirt beacuse Easter is about Jesus! And Jesus died for us and our Daddy to see him again. He insisted I wear mine too. So today we remembered in all the running around that Easter is about Jesus and the resurrection of our sins. That he died for everyone of us.

I know what your thinking this is the same post she just did. But it has one big difference now we are working on letters. How many of you have done letter writing in a rice tray?? ⁣

Pull out the tray you made from my last post but this time add letters. Pull a letter and write it in the rice. This works on letter recognition and handwriting. ⁣

Some adaptions! For my baby he just pulled letter card and I read them to him with no writing. But "oh boy!" did he love pulling letters. For my firat grader I threw in some of his sight words so he could practice recognizing and writing those. That's the great thing about play it's adaptable!⁣

This playdough smells amazing! Just like a pumpkin pie but it in fact doesn't have any pumpkin in it. My baby loves it. And if they eat a little it's safe but tastes like salt lol. This is such a great activity to go with the book "Spookley the Square Pumpkin" by Joe Troiano. It is an open ended art activity so anyway they choose to do it is great. Just let them draw a pumpking like in spookley! It can be any shape and colored anyway they want. My son is 4 and has a lot of practice with this type of art but younger children my just scribble and that's fine. [ 189 more words ]

1. Q-Tip Bone Letters This activity is simple and all you need is q-tips! We also used the bone letters from our beginning sound match. Today we worked on Coco inspired Day of the Dead skulls. We have been working on shape names and colors. This activity is a great way to reinforce those skills. First, I cut a skull face out of white paper and a bunch of tiny shapes out of the rainbow 🌈 colors in constuction paper. Then, I let my boys go to work gluing on different shapes, talking about them and their attributes. [ 35 more words ]

This was such a fun skeleton activity! And it's easy all you need is a long piece of paper, a black marker and the skeleton print out. First, I had to go buy a big roll of paper. They carry a big roll at Wal-Mart in the crafting section by the poster boards. It will also be great for art later on so I didn't feel like I was wasting money on a whole roll. [ 131 more words ]
