The Masonic Lodge has generously provided a $6,600 donation to our Intermediate and Middle School Backpack Programs. This gift includes $2,200 from the Pythagoras Masonic Lodge No. 383 and $4,400 from the Masonic Home of Missouri.

Through this partnership, we can continue ensuring that every wildcat has access to food when they are not at school. The Bright Futures Backpack Program provides nonperishable food items to students who may need food assistance over the weekend.

Thank you to the Masonic Lodge members for this outstanding donation!

➡ Going on tomorrow!
Our Grandparents' Day Celebration will take place on Thursday, September 10, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. for primary and intermediate students (preschool-5th grade). This event is a Title 1 Family Night.

Students will leave campus at their normal dismissal time and then return with their grandparents or grandfriends to enjoy the celebration. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in classroom activities, enjoy refreshments in the cafeteria and visit the Book Fair together in the library.

We look forward to honoring the important role grandparents and grandfriends play in our students’ lives during this special celebration!

A small sticky note, can make a big difference in somebody's day!

As part of a back-to-school activity, our seventh-grade social studies students are spreading kindness throughout CMS by writing positive affirmations for students and staff.

The activity has two purposes. The person receiving the note gets a reminder that they matter and belong. The student writing it gets to experience how good it feels to encourage someone else.

It’s a small gesture with a big purpose!

We kicked off the school year with a little friendly competition inspired by Dr. Johnson’s favorite hobby — pickleball! 🏓

Mini pickleballs were hidden across all four campuses and our staff had to find as many as they could as they were out and about during our back to school meetings.

Congratulations to the following prize winners:

🥇 First Place: Fourth grade teachers won lunch
🥈 Second Place: Alex Brookes won a $50 gift card
🥉 Third Place: Judy Rodriguez won a $25 gift card

A huge thank you to our cross country team for helping hide all those pickleballs!

➡👀 Check out the Dr. J's new necklace, created for him by the fourth grade team with their findings! 😆
