Professional Opening Repertoire Preparation: in 3 Easy Steps Any chess players have a wrong idea about opening preparation, how it should be done and what you should expect from a good opening repertoire. They think that by memorizing a few lines in some opening they would be able win a game after game easily.
Congratulations to Evan Stewart for winning the 2015 Casselberry Chess Club Championship. Evan becomes the 9th Casselberry Chess Club Champion!
Evan finished the tournament undefeated with a perfect 4-0 score, and becomes the 2nd person behind 3 time Champion Johnny Nunez to ever accomplish this feat.
Herb Dickens finished in 2nd Place with a 3-1 score.
Yash Vardhen finished as the Top Scholastic player.

The 2015 Casselberry Chess Club Championship has reached the halfway point after 2 rounds and we have Evan Stewart and Herb Dickens tied for 1st place with 2 Points each.
This tournament will conclude this coming Thursday evening (April 23rd) between the hours of 7 - 11:00 PM at the "Wirz Park Recreational Center" in Casselberry.

On Thursday evening, April 2nd, Life Master Mark Ryan will be at the Casselberry Chess Club at our new site at the Wirz Park Recreational Center in Casselberry with a very special guest. Our hours are from 6:00 PM to approximately 11:00 PM.
