Casper College's Shawn Bush!

Jentel Presents provides the opportunity for Jentel Artist Residency artists to share their visual artwork and writing with our enchanting community. This event will take place on Thursday, August 27th from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm, at The Brinton Museum in Big Horn, Wyoming. Feel free to enjoy lunch at the museum's Bistro; reservations encouraged.
This month’s presenters include:

Ginger Gore Russell, Hemphill, TX; Photographer; Ginger Gore Russell is a bookworm, wayfarer, and a former exotic game rancher. She is her mother's daughter!

Emily Blair, Brooklyn, NY; Poet; Emily Blair lives in Brooklyn, where she works in web development. She loves old movies, soap operas, speculative fiction and art of all kinds.

Shawn Bush, Casper, WY; Photographer; Shawn Bush lives in Wyoming with his family, where he balances being a parent, teaching, and spending time in the landscape is a favorite pastime. He is drawn to weather, light, and place.

Bill Georgia, East Point, Georgia; Painter; Traveling and exploring new environments sharpens his passion and perspective for creating new images.

Liz Rodda, Austin, TX; Interdisciplinary Artist; Liz thinks about the body in terms of absence and presence, the images that surround it, and the materials it absorbs and translates. She moves between video, sculpture, and painting, creating installation-based exhibitions in which different formats and forms play off one another.

Amanda Gersh, Portland, OR; Fiction Writer; Amanda Gersh is a fiction writer from Portland, Oregon. Originally South African, she has published stories and humor pieces in Tin House, One Story, The Believer, X-R-A-Y, among others. She is currently working on a novel and stories.

Join us as Jentel hosts the next Jentel Presents on Thursday, August 27th, 2026.

The Jentel Artist Residency accepts applications twice a year from visual artists in all mediums, writers in fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry, and composers in all genres for a three-week residency. Deadline for Winter/Spring 2027 is September 15th, 2026.
