Torrington Middle School is excited to welcome Preston Pohlman as our new Band Director!

Preston joins TMS with three years of experience leading band programs in South Dakota. A graduate of the University of South Dakota with a degree in Music Education, he has worked with students across grades 5-12 and directed a variety of ensembles, including marching band, jazz band, concert band, and pep band.

Throughout his career, Preston has earned a reputation for setting high expectations while building meaningful connections with students. He believes strong relationships and a positive classroom environment create opportunities for students to grow both as musicians and as people.

As we continue to strengthen opportunities for students at TMS, we are excited for Preston to lead our band program and build on the traditions that make music an important part of the Blazer experience. We are grateful to have him joining our team and look forward to the impact he will make in our schools and community.
