We are thrilled to congratulate the winners of the 2026 Wyoming Symphony Orchestra Turner Young Artist Competition Finals!

After an incredible day of performances at Wheeler Concert Hall on August 15, we are proud to celebrate the exceptional young musicians who took the stage and shared their talent with our community.

🎻 High School Division Winner: Kaylee Li, Violin
Kaylee performed Wieniawski’s Polonaise Brillante in D Major, Op. 4 and earned the top honor in the High School Division. Kaylee was awarded her cash prize and will perform with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra this season!

🎼 Collegiate Division Winner: Clara Cox, Harp
Clara captivated the judges with Glière’s Concerto for Harp and Orchestra, Op. 74 and was named the winner of the Collegiate Division. Clara was also awarded her cash prize and perform with the WSO this season!

We are especially excited to recognize Jeffrey Cuevas, Voice, as the first-ever Honorable Mention recipient in the Turner Young Artist Competition. Jeffrey will also have the opportunity to perform with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra next season!

Congratulations to Kaylee, Clara, and Jeffrey, and to all of our finalists-Alexandria Richard, Anh Nguyen, Julia Griner, Shelby Cox, and Brayden Metcalf. Each musician demonstrated tremendous preparation, artistry, and dedication.

We are proud to support these talented young musicians and provide opportunities for them to continue growing as artists and performing with a professional orchestra.

A special thank-you to our judges, Barbara Scowcroft of the Utah Symphony Orchestra and WSO Music Director Jerry Hou, for sharing their expertise and helping make this year's competition such a success.
