Muffins with moms in celebration for Mother’s Day🌸

Our 2 years olds learning about the #1. Children love counting and it's important they get used to numbers because these lead on to most other mathematics skills. They will often count in order before they understand what the numbers mean.1️⃣

Great first day of preschool. Today we did a little math & baked a cake🎂
When children bake they are learning lots of numeracy concepts. They are learning about measurement as they add ingredients. They are also learning about measuring time and temperature as the cake bakes. As they measure out ingredients and stir the mixture they will be developing motor skills.
We also learned about opposites, understanding the concept of opposites is important as it helps a child to learn how to compare two different things and to develop a more concrete understanding of a specific concept (hard vs soft). Learning opposites also improves a child's ability to describe things🌚🌞

We had a fun pajama day….good day to be in Pj’s for our first snowy day❄️❄️
