📸 Hands-On Learning in Action! 🥩👀

Our Animal Science students are hard at work putting their livestock evaluation skills to the test!

In today's lab, students are analyzing live animals and locking in their OVER/UNDER predictions before we bring out the official scale and fire up the ultrasound machine to get the actual numbers.

They're putting their sharp eyes to the test on:

⚖️ Weight (lbs)
🥩 Ribeye Area (sq. in.)
📏 Backfat Thickness (in.)

Check out the photos from today's class to see the team in action! Who do you think is going to take home the win for the most accurate predictions, DR. BURKETT or THE STUDENTS? 📊✨

🎉 Huge shoutout to Casper College agribusiness graduate Ahnya Ivie-Moody for earning TWO massive national honors from Phi Theta Kappa!

Not only was she named to the elite All-USA Academic Team, but she is also Wyoming’s only 2026 New Century Transfer Scholar. 🏆

Between maintaining a 3.8+ GPA, serving as a past FFA State President, and working as the partnerships and events coordinator for the Wyoming State Fair, Ahnya is an absolute powerhouse.

Next stop: an accounting degree at the University of Wyoming! 🤠📈
