Werner Wildlife Museum at Casper College
Wildlife Museum Mission and Purpose of the Werner Wildlife Museum
The Werner Wildlife Museum is a resource center as well as a multiuse classroom.
Although the focus is on Wyoming Wildlife, it is suitable as a resource and classroom area for all disciplines including education, art, environmental science, and other biological related fields. The museum can supports students of all ages and serves the community as a place of continuing education. It is free and open to the public.

Today we were pleased to host third graders from Sagewood Elementary, Natrona County School District, as they presented their research projects. Thank you Mrs. Flammang and Mrs. Realing for utilizing our museum and its exhibits in such a creative way.

The Werner Wildlife Museum is partnering with the Murie Audubon Society to host a free bird identification class on Wednesday, May 13th at 7:00pm. Registration is not required.
Popular Werner Wildlife Series speaker Stacey Scott and Casper College biology instructor Luis Alza Leon will lead the class. Both men have been avid bird watchers for many years and are well-versed in the bird species found in Wyoming. There will be a field trip on the following Saturday.
“We are excited to host these classes since it speaks to our mission of education,” says Dalene Hodnett, Casper College director of museums. “It’s a great opportunity for our extensive collection to serve the birding community,” she added.
The Werner Wildlife Museum, located off the Casper College campus at 405 E. 15th Street, is free and open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Werner Wildlife Museum is partnering with the Murie Audubon Society to host free bird identification classes.
The classes will be on Wednesday, May 6th and 13th at 7:00pm. Registration is not required.

Join us on June 10th at 11:00 for a children’s Animal House activity at the Werner Wildlife Museum. During this free event, students ages 5-12 will learn the components of habitat and then make observations of different types of habitats and their inhabitants. We’ll start with an indoor activity of drawing and creating before we move to the backyard to explore various habitats.
Families are encouraged to bring a sack lunch to enjoy after the program. For additional information, call the Werner at 307-235-2108 or drop by 405 East 15th Street, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
